TrillianTrust First Aid for Uni-Mount AFC teams

As part of Unimount’s drive towards improved health and safety this year, Trillian Trust have come to the party with a generous grant which will pay for 24 new First Aid Kits for the club, enough to supply every team, including our Juniors, with their own First Aid kit.

The club has already adopted a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy this year, in line with the new Government Health and Safety Regulations and, earlier in the year ,acquired a new defibrillator for the use of all at Bill McKinlay Park. The latter was paid for by a generous donation from club stalwart, Andrew Clements.

THE CLUB

FFNK4.JPG

University-Mount Wellington AFC is a soccer club which formed from an amalgamation of the Auckland University AFC and the Mount Wellington AFC and is based at Bill McKinlay Park in Panmure, Auckland.

It has a long tradition of successfully competing at the highest level with a string of National titles and cup successes.

The club does not currently have a team in the top echelon of New Zealand football or the Northern region. It has decided to focus its resources on a thriving body of social teams, Sunday teams, women's teams and teams from Auckland regional leagues under the umbrella of the regional organisation, the AFF (Auckland Football Federation) Click Here

Not surprisingly, Bill McKinlay Park regularly hosts tournaments such as the Fiji tournament, one of the best attended soccer events in the city and well worth attending, not only for the quality of the football, but also the sheer pageantry and colour on show and more recently the Tri-Nation Series, played between the Football Ferns, The Matildas and North Korea

Of course, the club still hosts other important events at Bill McKinlay Park, which remains one of the best soccer venues in Auckland.
